Pasikudah

The Pasikudha Beach, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka is situated about 300 Km away from Colombo and 35km away from Batticaloa town. Pasikudha Beach is a beach lover’s paradise since they can engage in a variety of activities like sun bathing, scuba diving and snorkeling, wind surfing, water skiing. Fish connoisseurs will be treated to an eyeful of a great variety of species of multi-hued fish and intriguing crustaceans in the depths of the Indian Ocean. On the other hand, the morning view of the sun is a spectacular sight when the birds flip away from the dawn darkness. Pasikudha is known to have one of the longest stretches of shallow reef coastline in the world. People walk kilometers into the sea because the water is only a few inches deep and the current is relatively weak compared to the rest of Sri Lanka’s coasts. People can enjoy the Pasikudha beach irrespective of the season. It is also well known for soothing beverages and mouthwatering delicious foods such as prawns, squid, lobsters and crabs.
